Zach Whitman is a writer, performer, and publisher based in New York City. In the last decade, he has worked in a variety of restaurant concepts as a server and supervisor. His passion for working in restaurants is matched only by his aversion to it. The puzzling and often illogical nature of the service industry, coupled with his quest to balance creativity and service, has consistently influenced his artistry.
In 2020, Zach co-founded 86 Logic, a quarterly magazine that features the work of artists and writers whoβve also served time behind an apron. The magazine has since published the work of over two hundred contributors from thirty-five US states and eleven countries and received over four thousand submissions.
